Nursing Research – Critiquing Research

Using the same research article that was used for the assignment “Critiquing Research Part l”,( the same article that is attached), use the questions below to write a critique of your research article.

Answer all questions that apply to the quantitative and/or qualitative study that you selected. Include a title page and article citation (APA format) on the title page. save the research article that was critiqued in a .pdf and attach the article with the paper. Points will be deducted if the article is not submitted with the critique.

BIBLICAL THEOLOGY PAPER: PROPOSAL ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

This proposal assignment is designed to initiate the Biblical Theology Paper and to provide an opportunity for initial feedback from the instructor. The focus is to connect leadership with theology and how that theology would form and inform a leader.

The student will select a theology from the list below, give an explanation of that theology and propose in two paragraphs how the chosen theology forms and informs leadership. Specific examples will be given in your paper but are not needed in the proposal.

A clear and concise  sentence must be provided (see Liberty Online Writing Center). A Turabian-style bibliography of eight peer reviewed sources (in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible) that will be used in the paper must be included.

1. Pick two bolded pieces of advice from the “Focusing on the Fundamentals” section (Ch. 4, p. 90) to discuss. Do you agree/disagree? How did you react to seeing this advice? Surprise you? Use previous experience working with a boss/leader to explain your reaction to Watkins’ advice. (answer length: 6-7 sentences).

Pick one of the following sections to discuss/react to: “Planning the Expectations Conversation,” “Planning the Resource Conversation,” or “Planning the Style Conversation.” What was the most helpful piece of advice in this section? Have you ever been in one of these discussions before (explain)? Was there anything you disagreed with? (answer length: 4-5 sentences).

3. What does FOGLAMP stand for (Ch. 5)? (answer length: one sentence)

Be sure to use quotation marks when directly quoting the book, but you don’t need formal citations. You can say “According to Watkins …” instead of using a formal APA/MLA citation technique since  know what source you are reading/talking about. Be sure to use proper capitalization, grammar, and avoid typos.  will take points off for those types of mistakes.
