Coursework will be made up of two pieces of work:(UK Law/English Law)

A 1,000-word essay on the following

Part A)-To what extent are crime statistics a valuable tool for understanding crime?

B- A 2,000-word essay on a broad theme encompassing several parts of the course. The questions for this part of the coursework is the following;

Part B) – Evaluate the effectiveness of hate crime laws as a method of tackling discrimination and violence directed at minority communities.

This is my main source of information for this module therefore it is required that you use it as the referencing point to answer these questions using it as the main source / textbook as readings from it is set as my primary reading for seminars.All the teaching received in lectures draws on references from this book, which will then allow you in pinpointing opportunities to explore the topics examined in greater depth.

This contains a number of interesting readings on each topic that studying. All the

Readings are useful, and some were set as seminar readings.

Attach the *Module Handbook/Seminar* which has the textbook reading, essential reading, and additional reading.

The list of topics covered in the module is also there, in addition all the information required to answer Part A) should be from seminar 1-3.(This includes lecture slides which will attach)

Part B however will cover a broader theme which is why included seminars 1-7.

The assessment criteria and how it is assessed has also been attached and is at the bottom.
