Class Introductions
Introduce yourself to the class by posting a short essay on the D2L Discussion Forum “Discussion Assignment 1 – Introductions.”
Then, respond substantively to at least two introductory posts made by other students in the class.
Guidelines: write 3-4 paragraphs (around 250-300 words) about yourself as an introduction to the other course participants. You can choose to reveal as much or as little information about yourself as you like, but please address at least the following questions:
What is your name
What is your major? Business Administration
tell us something about yourself that is important to you and to who you are (this could be anything from a hobby to a job, favorite sports team, role as a parent, etc.).
What do you hope to learn in this class? Why do you think that learning about moral philosophy would help you? What do you think you will need to succeed?
In what ways do you expect you will need knowledge of moral philosophy and/or moral decision-making skills in your future studies and career?
Have you encountered situations outside of class in which you had to make a tough moral choice? What were some relevant considerations in making that choice?
Is there anything about philosophy that you dread or find difficult?
Have you taken an online class before? If so, what did you like or dislike about it? If not, is there anything that makes you nervous or worried about taking an online class, or any area in which you anticipate problems? Yes
For the two responses: write 1-2 paragraphs (75-150 words) in response to the introductory posts of at least two members of the class. You can respond to any part of their post, but please read the important message following the guidelines.
You might have in common with one of the posters that you both love dogs. Or maybe you and another poster love to travel, so why not write about that? Maybe you and another course participant both support the same baseball team, etc. (Just write two vague responses and tweak them to the posts.)
