For this week’s assignment you will want to start in Google Scholar (or any electronic Library you may have access to) and locate one Journal Articles (less than 7 years old) that address some facet of forecasting. To Search, start by entering search terms such as “Demand Forecasting” or “Forecasting Methods” into the search bar and a long list of sub-topic titles will appear.

In preparation for a meeting with upper-level management, you decide to conduct research on the role of statistical forecasting in decision analysis.

Write a paper of 3 pages discussing the importance of accreditation and credentialing, strategies for quality improvement, and the role of statistics and statistical forecasting in the process.

Your discussion should include how you can use statistical forecasting related to patient treatment, read missions, emergency room (ER) wait times, and so forth as a means of determining what areas to focus on for the quality initiative.
