Following the virtual meeting you have been asked to review an organisation’s strategy and business plans as this may influence thinking for Vista’s future direction.

Produce a presentation with accompanying notes which:

explains the importance of review in developing organisational strategy and business plans.
evaluates the tools which can be used to review organisational strategy and business plans

To gain a merit grade your presentation must also:

review the position of an organisation in its current market using appropriate tools.

To gain a distinction grade your presentation must also:

analyse the competitive strengths and weaknesses of an organisation’s current business strategy and business plans.

Whilst completing the above tasks your team has decided that there is clearly a number of strategic options to consider.

With this in mind you decide to model strategy options for a smaller organisation as an illustration. Produce a document for circulation which develops:

strategy options for a chosen organisation, using modelling tools
criteria for reviewing the potential strategy options.

To gain a merit grade you must also:

apply the criteria and evaluate the options for delivering the strategic direction of the organisation you have chosen.

The Board has decided that the meeting in Singapore should take place and you have received your travel and accommodation documents.

The agenda for the meeting will include how to create a strategic plan. In preparation for this critical meeting you decide to produce a file for your own use. The file will:

explain the structure of a plan needed to deliver the strategy

explain how stakeholders are involved in the formulation of the plan

provide a dissemination process to ensure stakeholders are informed and committed to the plan.

Fresh Price Accounting, Inc., is a well-known accounting firm that provides exceptional services to businesses and individuals but is notorious for being a difficult place to work.

Employee turnover is at an all-time high and the company recently had a lawsuit filed against them for mismanagement of employees.

To improve, they’ve reached out to you, an HR consultant, to help them identify ways they can change their management of human resources.

To learn more about the problems occurring, you’ve done some research by interviewing the employees that work at Fresh Price Accounting, Inc., and have discovered the following complaints made within the last calendar year:

More than 68% of current employees stated that there is little motivation to work harder than what is expected of them.

87% of employees identified in a questionnaire that they felt they couldn’t take extended leave to care for an illness or the illness of a family member for fear they would lose their jobs.

4 employees were fired shortly after incurring a disability or announcing a pregnancy.

91% of the company is comprised of white males. Individuals that represent a different race, gender, speak a different language, or are not originally from the United States felt ‘unwelcomed’ and ‘misunderstood’.

62% of current employees that left the company in less than 6 months cited that they felt inadequately trained for the position they were hired for.

As their HR consultant, you’ve been asked to relay the findings of your research in a brief report.

The company’s executives want the report to identify the main issues experienced by the company and provide suggestions for how to make improvements.

Make sure to provide rationale and examples from sources to support your findings and recommendations.

The report should be 1500 to 2000 words in length and well-researched (at least 4 sources), as it will serve as an overview of both the current human resource management practices as well as your proposed improvements.

Company Strategy Analysis and Evaluation

TASK 3: Company Strategy Analysis and Evaluation (Summative) You must complete a 1,500 words (± 10%) written analysis and evaluation of a company’s or organisation’s strategy, chosen from the list of companies/organisations below.

Using relevant models from 3 (three) concepts covered in the module, you will need to analyse the company’s or organisation’s strategy.

You will also need to evaluate the efficacy of this strategy together with considering whether any changes to this strategy are needed. Suitable and credible academic and industry literature MUST be used to support your analysis and evaluation.

The completion of tasks 1 and 2 will help in the completion of this summative task.

The assessment feedback detailed in the tables 5 & 6 below will be used to assess the task 3 assessment.

The Works Cited list at the end of your essay must include a citation for an Internet source, a book, and a magazine or journal.

This essay must be typed. Compose a persuasive essay of 750–1,000 words based on one of the following topics
